I have been talking about the weight loss benefits of fasting on this fitness blog for a few months now. Since I truly believe it is one of the best ways to control your weight, I put together the ultimate intermittent fasting resource. If you are having trouble losing weight, you need to set goals and put a little pressure on yourself to reach them. You can do this by telling other people how much weight you want to lose by a particular date. Without setting a date, and just saying to yourself that you want to lose 20 pounds, may not be enough.
By telling family and friends that you have to drop a certain amount of weight in a certain timeframe, you are setting yourself up for success by making a real commitment. I have always felt that the main reason people lose so much weight on TV shows like The Biggest Loser is because their weight loss goals are on TV for millions of people to see. Even though I don’t agree with the weight loss approach used on The Biggest Loser (in my opinion they over-train the participants to unhealthy levels), it works. It’s the pressure they put on themselves by going on the show and exposing their weight loss goals to the whole world that produces such great results(…)
